Pure Blossom Honey from Madeira Island
Honey is an aliment, usually found as a sweet and viscous liquid, which is produced by bees from the flower nectar they collect and processed by the digestive enzymes of these insects. It is the only sweet product that contains protein and many minerals and vitamins essential to our health. In addition to its high energy value, it has known medicinal properties, being a sort of aliment recognized for performing an antibacterial action.
This honey is selected and comes principally from nectars of flowers as well as countryside and mountainous plants of Madeira island.
Precautions and usage advice:
As it is highly hygroscopic (absorbs humidity easily) it is recommended to always keep the lid tightly sealed/closed to always maintain its fluidity and natural properties. Store at room temperature. If honey becomes solid and crystalizes, gently warm jar in water until content turns runny. Do not feed honey to infants under the age of 12 months.
